John Lunn Silver Flute #27
This John Lunn flute has a streamlined design…which ultimately produces great stability in the mechanism. The leaf-shaped thumb key, G# and D# levers hint at the shape of things to come for this amazing artist/flute-builder. (His later flutes became known for their extremely ornate floral and vine-like “story flute” designs throughout the keywork). Made in the early 1990’s.
The angled keys on the footjoint will be a welcome relief for players with small hands or who experience any right hand physical limitation, easing the pinky reach for lowest notes.
Paired with a silver Gary Schocker / David Williams Head Joint, the sound is warm, full, commanding, and full of delicate nuance. Great scale and articulation.
In perfect condition.
