A rare opportunity to acquire a superb Flutemakers Guild flute from an iconic British maker. Comfortable in the hands, with a warm, direct, powerful tonal palette. It feels more like a C Flute than an Alto with the air flow, and yet it has a booming lower register, and plays evenly (and beautifully) in three octaves.
Played extensively in Metropolitan Opera Orch. and in Broadway pits. A pro’s pro of a flute!

The Flutemakers Guild in London was started in 1961, following the breakaway of seven craftsmen from the famous flute makers Rudall Carte & Co.
