Edward Almeida Flute #264, made in 1975, Silver Body and Keys, B foot w/gizmo, Open Hole, Hand Made, Pointed Key Arms, In line G, A-442, .016 tubing thickness.

This flute, in mint condition, has a warm and silky sound, and is extremely fluid between the registers, has great articulation, and big dynamic range. Mr. Almeida, once a Powell Flute-builder, went on to launch his own line of instruments, and this is one of the very best we have played. With the medium weight tubing thickness, one can use a great deal of air to create a commanding sound, but also easily blends if played as 2nd flute or in an ensemble setting.

The Straubinger Pads are in excellent, used condition, and won’t need to be changed (or reskinned) for years to come.
