This flute has a luminous warmth at the core of the sound, and an excellent tonal palette. With the capacity to taper notes to nothingness, while creating a stirring fortissimo, the dynamic range is quite pronounced. Beautifully cared for by its sole owner (now in retirement), it was played for decades in their busy flute studio and in their work as an active freelancer in the NYC Metro area.

The Straubinger Pads are in good, used condition and won’t need to be changed for years to come. The tarnish, visible mostly on the mechanism tubing, is superficial and has caused no pitting.

In excellent condition, with no dings, dents or scratches.
